Ancient Empire Tour

Day 01: Arrival Mumbai
Arrive Mumbai, meet and assist by a Hansa Vacations representative at the airport and transfer to hotel. Mumbai which used to be a tiny island covered by palm trees used to belong to the native koli fishermen, who still live here in their little villages surrounded by huge skyscrapers. In the 17th century the Portuguese arrived and dotted this island with several forts, which are still present today. In 1661, Mumbai was later taken control by Charles II of England and eventually became one the biggest port of the British Empire. Stay overnight at hotel in Mumbai.

Day 02: Mumbai
After breakfast proceed for a city tour of Mumbai starting with the Gateway of India, Prince of Wales Museum, Hanging Gardens on the slopes of Malabar Hills offering a spectacular view of Marine Lines & Chowpatty Beach, Kamla Nehru Park, Mani Bhawan (where Mahatma Gandhi used to stay) and then to Dhobi Ghat. Also visit Afgan Church and the Crawford Market. Stay overnight at hotel in Mumbai.

Day 03: Mumbai – Hyderabad (flight)
Morning our representative will transfer you to the airport to board the flight for Hyderabad, Arrive Hyderabad and transfer to hotel. Afternoon enjoy a half day sightseeing tour of Hyderabad visiting the Falukuma Palace, Mecca Masjid, the Salar Jung Museum and the splendid Charminar. Stay overnight at hotel in Hyderabad.

Day 04: Hyderabad – Gulbarga (by road)
After breakfast depart for Gulbarga by road, en-route you will visit the 15th century Bidar Fort and the Bahmani tombs. Arrive Gulbarga, transfer to hotel and check-in. Later proceed for city tour of Gulbarga which includes the 15th century Jama Masjid. Overnight stay at hotel in Gulbarga.

Day 05: Gulbarga - Bijapur (by road)
After breakfast drive for Bijapur & transfer to the hotel. Later proceed for a city tour of Bijapur starting with Bijapur Fort built in the 17th century followed by a visit to the Gol-Gumbaz or the round dome. This structure has the largest dome in India and the second largest in the world. Afternoon visit Ibrahim Roza, a beautiful tomb built by Adil Shah II for his beautiful queen. Stay overnight at hotel in Bijapur.

Day 06: Bijapur – Badami (By road)
After breakfast, drive to Badami to see the marvellous 6th century temples, en-route visit Aihole which is the "cradle of Indian architecture", Aihole has over 100 temples scattered all around the vicinity. Continue drive to Badami and check-in to the hotel. Later visit the rock cut caves 0f Badami, the Mahakuteshwara Temple and the Northern Fort. Stay overnight at hotel in Badami.

Day 07: Badami – Hospet (By Road)
After breakfast drive to Hospet and en-route stopover at Pattadakal situated on the bank of the Malaprabha river and visit ten major temples representing early kalyani Chalukyan architecture. Stay overnight at hotel in Hospet.

Day 08: Hospet
After breakfast proceed for a tour of Hampi. Hampi was the capital of the last and the legendary Hindu kingdom of Vijayanagar, the largest empire in post-mogul India, covering the present-day Indian states of Karnataka, Andhra Pradesh and Maharashtra. Hampi is located in the central part of the state of Karnataka. The town is famous for its ruins belonging to the former medieval Hindu Kingdom of Vijayanagar and is declared a World Heritage site. The Hindu style of architecture found at Hampi reflects the glory days of the Vijayanagar Empire. Stay overnight at hotel in Hospet.

Day 09: Hospet – Hassan (By Road)
After breakfast depart for Hassan driving through scenic landscape surrounding and local Indian villages. Arrive Hassan and check-in to the hotel. Stay overnight at hotel in Hassan.

Day 10: Hassan – Mysore (By road)
After breakfast proceed for a tour of Belur and Halebid and get a glimpse of magnificent Hindu temple architecture. In the 16th century, Belur and Halebid were part of the massive Hoysala Empire. The Hoysalas were huge patrons of art and architecture and built huge temples that have survived the ravages of time. Some of the sculptures are so exotic and mesmerizing that you expect them to speak or move. Afternoon you will drive to Mysore check-in to the hotel. Stay overnight at hotel in Mysore.

Day 11: Mysore
After breakfast take a tour of Art Gallery – Housed in the Jag Mohan Palace, this gallery has a collection of exquisite paintings dating back to 1875. St. Phenomena's Church – Built in the Gothic style, one of the largest churches of the country followed by a visit to the Chamundi Hills, and the Brindavan Gardens and witness the exuberant beauty of this Garden. Stay overnight at hotel in Mysore.

Day 12: Mysore - Bangalore
After breakfast drive to Bangalore en-route visit Sirangapatnam which was the capital of King Hyder Ali and his son the legendry Tipu Sultan. Later visit Mysore Palace - Once the residence of the Woodeyars it was built in 1912 in the Indo Saracenic style, this palace exudes a grandeur that is unmatched. Arrive Bangalore and check-in to hotel. Stay overnight at hotel in Bangalore.

Day 13: Bangalore- Departure (By International Flight)
After breakfast proceed for a city tour of Bangalore which includes the Vidhan Sudha, Nandi Temple - One of Oldest temple, popularly known as the Bull temple. In time our representative will transfer you to the International airport to board the flight for onward journey.
