Hansa Everest Base Camp Trek
Duration : 16 Nights/ 17 Days
Destinations : Kathmandu - Lukla - Phakding - Namche - Tengboche - Dingboche - Lobuche - Gorakshep - Kalapater - Pheriche - Tyangboche - Namche Bazaar - Lukla - Kathmandu

Day 01: Arrive at Kathmandu
On arrival at Kathmandu airport you will be met and assisted by our Hansa Vacations representative and transferred to the hotel. Stay overnight at hotel.

Day 02: Kathmandu
After breakfast proceed for a tour of the Kathmandu valley which includes the historic Durbar Square; the House of Living Goddess Kumari followed by Bouddhnath; one of the largest Stupas in Nepal, Swayambhunath which is situated on top of the hill knows as the Monkey Temple is one of the oldest Buddhist Stupa in the world.

Afternoon visit Patan starting from the Krishna Temple which was built from a single monolith stone with incredible perfection, Patan king’s palace, Golden temple and much more. Later visit Bhaktapur - one of the oldest cities in Kathmandu valley. Stay overnight at hotel. Please, check your insurance documents and ensure that you have a copy of your travel medical insurance policy.

Day 03: Fly from Kathmandu to Lukla
  Trek to Phakding (2,640 m - 03 to 04 hours)
Early morning a Hansa Vacations representative will transfer you to airport to board the flight to Lukla. Arrive Lukla and drive to Chaurikharka village and begin your towards the Ghat (2,530m). The trail follows the bank of the Dudhkosi River. To assist you with acclimatization, the initial trek is scheduled for a short duration of 3 to 4 hrs. You can also do a side trip to monastery around in Phakding. Arrive Phakding and stay overnight at Lodge.

Day 04: Phakding to Namche Bazaar (3,430 m - 05 to 06 hours)
Today’s trail follows the path on the Dodh Kosi River bank and goes all the way to Tok Tok which gives you an excellent view of Thamserku peak. Further the trail ascends to Chomoa, site of an agricultural project farm. Continue your trek to Monju (2,840 m) which takes you to Sagarmatha National Park Area (1,148 sq km, established in 1976). After walking a small distance you will reach Jorsale (2830 m), after that cross the last bridge of the trail followed by a steep climb to a point where you get a magnificent view of the Mt. Everest. After another 5 to 6 hrs of walk the trail reaches the street of Namche Bazaar your stop point. Stay overnight at Lodge.

Day 05: Acclimatization in Namche Bazaar
After breakfast you will enjoy a walking tour of Namche Bazaar then hike to the Everest View point. The perfect place to view some of the famous peaks like Mt.Everest, Nupste, Ama Dablam, Kangtegha, Thamserku, kusum khangru, khongde and Khumbi yu La. Later visit the mountaineering museum in Namche bazaar. Stay overnight at Lodge.

Day 06: Namche Bazaar to Tyangboche (3,867 m - 05 to 06 hours)
After breakfast we start our trek through the forest with a superb view of mountains to Kenjoma, where the trail joins from Khumjung. After passing Sanasa the trail drops towards Phunki Thanga (3,250 m). Then it climbs steeply through forests till you reach Tengboche Monastery. The view from here is said to be spectacular - Kwangde, Tawachee, Everest, Nuptse, Lhotse Ama Dablam, Kantega and Thamserku provide a exciting panorama of Himalayan view. Stay overnight in Tengboche.

Day 07: Tengboche to Dingboche (4,300 m - 05 to 06 hours)
After breakfast continue on your trail which descends from Tengboche, through the rhododendron forest to Deboche after crossing a bridge over the river Imja Khol. The trail for Dingbuche follows the climbing route of Island peak and Phokalde peak. It is the gateway to Chukung and further beyond comes the most challenging path towards Makalu area and Hinko Valley via Sherpani col (6,100 m) and Amphu Laptsa pass (5,780 m). Overnight.

Day 08: Acclimatization day at Dingboche
Full day free for relaxation and acclimatization or you can take a short trek to Nagarjun Peak which takes about two hours and offers a view of Imjatse Valley with Dingbuche village and Island peak. Return to Dingboche for overnight stay.

Day 09: Dingboche to Lobuche (4,930 m - 05 to 06 hours)
After your complete acclimatization, the trail heading you gradually climb up until Duglha offering stunning views of Tawachee and Cholatse.From Duglha trail directly up to the Khumbu Glacier for an hour, then left into the memorial area before reaching the village of Lubuche. In this stage the effects of the altitude will be kicking which in and you can expect colder nights. Overnight stay.

Day 10: Lobuche to Gorakshep (5,140 m - 03 hours) & Everest Base Camp (5,364 m - 02 to 03 hours
After breakfast the trek continues to Gorakshep which is a very rocky and windy place but offers a excellent view of Mt. Pumori. After lunch, we continue towards our destination and trek to the Everest Base Camp and to the Khumbu Ice-fall, the path from here can be quite mind boggling, follow the lead Sherpa, every year the trail changes due to the movements of the glacier, the walk is quite exhausting due to the high altitude and low oxygen level, the walk passes through rocky dunes and streams, till you reach the base camp. It takes approx 02 - 03 hrs to reach the base camp and after a grand time here go back over the journey to Gorakshep. Stay overnight at lodge.

Day 11: Gorakshep to Kalapater (5,550 m - 02 hours) - Pheriche (4,240 m -5 to 6 hours)
Early morning ascend for 2 hour on the path to Kalapater for a 360 degree view of the mountain peaks. When reaching the top, you will feel joyful and exhilaration, the moment that you been dreaming ever since you had started planning this journey. A small rocky peak “Kalapater” offers views beyond imagination as the Everest looks amazing, the panoramic view from this spot is something to cherish for the rest of your life, and you feel it’s worth the stiff climb up to a point where you feel at the top of the world. After breakfast trek down to Dhugla then proceed towards Imja valley. It is the only place in Khumbu where barley is grown in the highest place; enjoy the mesmerizingly beautiful scenery and stay overnight at hotel.

Day 12: Pheriche to Tyangboche (3867 m - 04 to 05 hours)
Today you can fell easer heading downhill to a lower elevation from Pheriche the walk is pleasant all the way to Tyangboche. You can see very old pangboche Sherpa village, and further down to Tyangboche is one of the most beautiful place in the Himalaya the first thing that comes to your eye is the big Monastery or Gumba, then the large field with campsites and teahouses, lodges beneath the soaring majestic gorgeous peak Ama Dablam, Everest, Mt. Lhotse and Lhotse Shar towards north east and more peaks all around.

Day 13: Tyangboche to Namche Bazaar (3430 m - 04 to 05 hours)
After breakfast the trail follows descends through a forest, after crossing the suspension bridge over the Dudh Koshi River trek onwards to the Sanasa and return to Namche bazaar for overnight stay.

Day 14: Namche Bazaar to Lukla (2,800 m - 06 to 07 hours)
Morning start your day with the return trek to Lukla today, we descend the long way before cross the bridge and further walk to Monju and stop in Phakding for lunch. Enjoy the lush green scenery around and pass through the incredible mountain trail and arrive at Lukla. Enjoy your last dinner with your crew and stay overnight at hotel.

Day 15: Lukla – Kathmandu
Late morning transfer to airport to board the flight to Kathmandu. Arrive Kathmandu and our representative will transfer you to the hotel. Rest of the day you are free to relax and rejuvenate. Stay overnight at hotel.

Day 16: Kathmandu
Entire day at leisure to relax at hotel or explore the local markets. A Hansa Vacations representative will take you for a farewell dinner to a Exclusive Nepalese Restaurant and hand over you Trip Certificate, Trekking Permit and TIMS Card for a long lasting memory of your Nepal trip.

Day 17: Depart Kathmandu
In time our representative will transfer you to Kathmandu Airport where you will board your International flight for onwards destination.
